Two master sculptors. Sitting down on the left is world
renowned Inuit artist Eli Nasoguluak of Tuktoyaktuk (took-too-yak-took), NT. Intellectual, wise, experienced, kind
and a fine gentleman. James Kirby of Whitehorse, YT standing on the right is a total mastermind. He is a highly creative
and very expressive artist. Brilliant to speak with, pleasantly forthwrite about the meanings of his work, a gentleman,
and a great example to his family and to all that come to know him.

World renowned and true legend Inuit artist Simon Tookoome of Baker Lake, NU. At 74 (born 1934) years
of age, he is still a very active artist today. He is also known for his highly skilled use of his dog team whip. Simon
is one of our last pioneers who grew up on the land traditionally before contact with the rest of the world. During
one of the festivities in the evening he demonstrated in front of a sold out croud whipping a cigarrette off of an audience
member! Truly amazing.

This
is "Ame", the sculpture I brought to 3D lifeform from one of Ame Papatsie's drawings. As he was showing me some of his
work, I connected with this particular drawing and asked him if I could sculpt it (one side is an Inuksuk and the other is
an Inuk). He gave me the honour and this is how it turned out! "Ame" (appropriately named after Ame) found
a wonderful home in Washington.

This is a photo of Ame, Debi, and I (I WILL learn how to smile
for the camera one of these days!). Debi is the wonderful lady who gave "Ame" (the sculpture) a new home in Washington.

Ame and I shaking hands after I completed "Ame" (appropriately
named after him). I completed it late night 4:30am and was sold to a wonderful person from Washington by 11:00am the
same morning. I look a bit tired!
